FLIGHT OPERATIONS SUPPORT
GATS Mission Operations
GATS has a long heritage of flight operations support lending our
special skills to SOFIE, HALOE, SAGE-III, SABER, and CALIPSO. We can provide complete support for flight
operations at both mission and payload level including routine but
critical health and performance monitoring, instrument commanding,
Level 0 processing, trending, and data analysis. The key to our
success is a close working relationship that with all concerned
by which we can help evaluate mission/payload status and optimize
science data return.

Launch of the TIMED spacecraft on Dec 7, 2001
from Vandenburg AFB. TIMED carries the SABER instrument (Sounding
of the Atmosphere using Broadband Emission Radiometry). GATS provides
flight operations support for SABER as well as leading the science
data analysis effort.

We can quickly configure our health/performance monitoring
software to monitor your spacecraft telemetry, to track
possible data losses, and to create statistics for long-term
trending and data quality reports. Rapid and accurate reporting
of these types of data is essential to quickly catching
any anomalies before they grow into serious problems. Our
trending software, Replay,
allows operators to graphically view real time and playback
data for time periods ranging from a single satellite contact
to entire mission lifetime. Our experience enables us to
help you uncover any anomalies and to easily modify software
configuration to help diagnose what is going on and thereby
help remedy the situation and to, of necessary, account
for data changes in the science processing.
