RADIATION CODES
Optimum extraction of information from atmospheric radiation measurements demands accurate mathematical simulation of the radiation fields. The GATS involvement with NASA in a variety of remote sensing projects has prompted our development of two algorithm module libraries (LINEPAK and BANDPAK) than can be used for atmospheric radiance calculations. This fast, flexible and reliable tool kit has evolved from years of use in lab spectroscopy work, feasibility studies and support of major remote sensing experiments such as HALOE, SABER, SOFIE, CLAES and ISAMS on UARS and CRISTA on ASTRO-SPAS.

GATS can quickly configure these routines to model your experiment or train your staff to do so. Our level of support can range from simply licensing the use of the libraries, to supplying complete turn-key systems with sophisticated interactive graphical interfaces. Many sample applications are available for use as learning aids or templates for your application. For economical and easy-to-understand measurement models, ranging from lab measurements to atmospheric geometry, these codes are your solution.

For details on concepts and methods employed in the codes, see LINEPAK and BANDPAK in the Nov. 94 issue of JQSRT (Vol. 52, issue 5), or contact us for answers to any questions.
